Product Designer, Full-Time

EquitySim is an early-stage startup that fits within the education technology sector and currently works primarily with finance students. We developed a platform for students to apply their classroom learned finance knowledge first-hand with a real-time stock market simulator. We help students and professors better understand their learning goals and provide insight into their trading decisions in a competitive and engaging learning environment.

As the primary product designer, working alongside a senior UX designer/front-end engineer, I was tasked with designing new features to help students better understand how their trading actions performed relative to the market. I also developed on-boarding flows and re-designed the company website to better communicate the value and purpose of EquitySim to students and professors. My role spanned the entire product cycle, beginning by conducting user research, prioritizing design needs with the product manager, and collaborating with our front-end engineers and our machine learning specialist to validate and ship features.
